Drilling sites

Our proposed drilling sites delineate a transect from the Peruvian border, through the equatorial Amazon, to the Atlantic Ocean. Our highest-priority drilling objective is to recover the complete Cenozoic succession in the major Amazonian sedimentary basins of Brazil. We have studied all available seismic and well-log data for the Acre, Solimões and Marajó Basins and have chosen drill sites based upon geologic considerations, as well as logistical concerns, such as accessibility and land ownership.
